James Tyack
I lead engineering teams building learning systems that compound over time.
My work centers on three areas:
- Learner success systems that drive retention and momentum
- Visual experience as a force multiplier for trust and clarity
- Build events as repeatable learning infrastructure
I write about systems thinking, engineering leadership, and how organizations learn and innovate at scale in the age of AI.
I'm based in the San Francisco Bay Area and organize build events and meetups through the Engineering Leadership Community (ELC).
